These plates are made from Lab created Turquoise rocks and carbon fiber fabric. Since it is made using lab created minerals/gemstones the colors are uniform throughout the chips resulting in a rich bright blue/green/aqua color.

The RockyWaves material has been vacuum produced, so all of the rocks/minerals/gemstones have been stabilized with resin. During this process it solidifies the material as one and there are no worries about loose or porous stones. With water/low heat & high grit polishing you can achieve a very high gloss and bring out the best of both materials. The stones will become more vibrant and the carbon fiber will appear blacker.

I am totally confident that you will not find any voids or even microvoids in my products, but if you ever find any small voids, I will give you a free replacement product. The titanium can be exposed when you machine into the carbon fiber. The titanium looks a bit gray by itself and it does not have a strong contrast to the carbon fiber but it can certainly show as a very classy subtle effect.

The titanium material also shows a bit on the surface of the top and bottom as grayish layer, but this is mostly a “bonus” of the material and is not a consistent effect. The titanium on the inside of the layers is very consistent and this will come out very well after machining and sanding. If the layers are contoured down a bit it will expose the titanium in between the layers of carbon fiber very well!
