With water/low heat & high grit polishing you can achieve a very high gloss and bring out the best of both materials. The stones will become more vibrant and the carbon fiber will appear blacker.

The brass on the inside of the layers is very consistent and this will come out very well after machining and sanding. If the layers are contoured down a bit it will expose the brass in between the layers of carbon fiber very well!
